City suspends land-use certificate requirement

The city’s People’s Committee recently issued Announcement 427/TB-UBND to suspend the implementation of part of Decision 79/2007/QD-UB, which governs the issuing of construction licences.

The decision requires individuals and organisations to have a land-use certificate or "red book" before they can apply for a construction licence. However, due to on-going problems with issuing land-use certificates the People’s Committee has temporarily rescinded the requirement. — VNS
