Industrial growth plan to get reviewed
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung has asked the Ministry of Planning and Investment to review the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s proposal for industrial development in the three northwestern provinces of Son La, Dien Bien and Lai Chau.

A large number of people have been resettled in the three provinces due to the development of hydroelectric power stations in the north.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry issued proposals on May 23 and October 3 this year on measures that should be adopted to encourage development in the provinces.

More workshops for vocational training

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan has asked the Ministry of Education and Training to organise workshops on training for the sectors of information technology, finance, banking, tourism and shipbuilding.

MoET has been asked to invite universities and colleges to participate in the workshops to be held this month and next.

Gov’t gives advice on gold mining in Lai Chau

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has asked Lai Chau People’s Committee to work with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on gold mining in the region.

During the discussion, issues such as health and safety and environmental protection are to be addressed.
